Students Celebrate Chinese New Year at The John F. Kennedy Center

     WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Chinese and American students performed traditional Chinese music, folk songs and dances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts here on Monday evening to celebrate the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year.

     The REACH glowed with the D.C. debut of stunning Winter Lanterns crafted by Chinese artisans from Haitian Culture Co.,Ltd. Zigong, China. made up of 10,000 colored LED lights, including the Chinese Four Symbols and 12 Zodiac Signs, Panda Grove, and Mushroom Garden display.

     The Kennedy Center has been celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year with various activities for more than 3 years, there was also a Chinese New Year Family Day on Saturday, featuring traditional Chinese arts and crafts, attracted over 7,000 people.
