The international "Lanternia" festival opened at the Fairy Tale Forest theme park in Cassino, Italy on Dec 8. The festival will run through March 10, 2024. On the same day, Italian national television broadcast the opening ceremony of Lanternia festival.
Spanning across 110,000 square meters, "Lanternia" features more than 300 giant lanterns, illuminated by more than 2.5 km of LED lights. Collaborated with the local workers, Chinese craftsmen from Haitian Culture worked over one month to finish all the lanterns for this magnificent festival.
The festival contains six thematic areas: the Kingdom of Christmas, the Animal Kingdom, Fairy Tales from the World, Dreamland, Fantasyland and Colorland. Visitors are treated to a wide array of lanterns varying in sizes, shapes and colors. Ranging from giant lanterns towering nearly 20 meters high to a castle built with lights, these displays offer visitors an immersive journey into the world of Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book and the forest of giant plants.
All these lanterns focus on the environment and sustainability: they are made from environmentally friendly fabric, while the lanterns themselves are illuminated entirely by energy-saving LED lights. There will be dozens of live interactive performances in the park at the same time. During Christmas, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and take photos with him. In addition to the wonderful world of lanterns, guests can also enjoy authentic live singing and dancing performances, taste delicious food.
