In order to celebrate the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival, the Auckland City Councul has collaborate with the Asia New Zealand Foundation to hod the "New Zealand Auckland Lantern Festival" each year. The"New Zealand Auckland Lantern Festival" has became an important part of the celebration of the Chinese New Year in New Zealand, and the symbol of Chinese culture spreading in New Zealand.
